PERSONALITY: Christine has always been very put together. With very good emotional control she has a very level head in stressful situations. She also has very good empathy which made her very suited to being a nurse and treating patients, as well as making her excellent with children. Always keeping an outward appearance of calm, Christine does not lose her temper easily. In fact, when she does get angry her reactions are usually understated and restrained to a glare or a snippy comment. Christine is used to working under difficult circumstances and with difficult people.
Although she can be a bit self-conscious she is also a very strong individual. Christine is always willing to risk danger if she believes she can help somebody. She is very meticulous in her actions and has a clear definition in her head of what is right and what is wrong. Her strong sense of ethics can lead to problems in certain situations, but on these she will never yield. At times she can be a bit too stubborn for her own good.
Christine is not religious in the slightest and doesn't really bother with belief systems as a whole. Not strong on violence, Christine would rather spend her efforts healing people. However, Christine is a realist and knows that sometimes one must be able to defend themselves. This is what makes her very well cut out to be a Star Fleet nurse. Her morals also mean that she would do anything to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves.
Christine has a very dry sense of humor, but tends to only use it with certain people. She tends to overwork and therefore doesn't have much spare time, but when she does she enjoys reading up on the latest scientific breakthroughs. She also has a weakness for strawberries and anything mint flavored. Christine tends to have the bad habit of biting her lip when she is nervous.
HISTORY: Christine grew up in New York and from a very early age was interested in science. Her parents encouraged her interests and Christine majored in biology in college and went on to specialize in micro-biology in graduate school. As soon as she graduated she got a job as a research assistant for Dr. Roger Korby doing bio-research. She started a relationship with Roger during her time working for him and they were engaged a year later.
Not long after they became engaged, Roger went out on a mission for his research. Christine and Roger had been arguing about work and she didn’t accompany him. Roger went missing on the mission leaving Christine quite distraught. This is what caused Christine to enlist with Star Fleet and leave her promising bio-research career behind in the hopes that it would give her the chance to one day find Roger. Christine was assigned to the USS Enterprise during the Narada incident as Head Nurse.

NAME/ALIAS: Scout HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN RPING: 5 years WHERE DID YOU FIND US: Google DID YOU READ THE RULES: Yes FACE CLAIM: Rosamund Pike RP SAMPLE: Christine started at the words on the pad until they began to blur together. It was only as the letters began to become hazy that Christine admitted to herself she probably needed to take a break. At this rate, she was quite sure that none of the information the article on bio-manipulation contained was even making its way into her head. Christine raised herself out of the chair she had been sitting in and winced as her legs protested the sudden movement. She took a moment to stretch before placing the pad on the coffee table.
The small apartment was quiet and Christine could hear clearly the bustle out on the street through the window. She made her way towards the door to her bedroom, ignoring the messy piles of papers and pillows everywhere. Since she had gotten the news of Roger the previous week, she hadn’t felt inclined to clean anything up. One of his jackets still lay thrown over the couch where Christine couldn’t even bear to look whenever she got home. Sometimes she would catch sight of it out of the corner of her eye and need to stop whatever she was doing in order to steady herself. Every time her thoughts were pulled back to Roger there was a hollow feeling in the pit of her stomach which threatened to knock her over with a wave of nausea.
Christine was reaching her bedroom door when a splash of color caught her attention from a pile of two day old mail she had dropped haphazardly on the floor. She bent to pick it up and her exhausted mind latched onto the familiar insignia on the pages corner. ‘Enlist in Star Fleet’ was emblazoned on the top of the advertisement as some bright eyed cadet smiled up at Christine in his uniform. She almost dropped the paper back down to the floor before the phrase under the image actually sunk in.
‘See the many wonders of space and…’ Christine didn’t continue reading but stared at the words. Her mind worked around it until only the word ‘space’ registered. Star Fleet operated in space.
Christine started to move then, her exhaustion temporarily ignored in favor of her yanking on her boots and throwing her hair into some semblance of order. She started throwing some things into a bag she grabbed from the same table she had put the pad on. Christine paused at the apartment’s front door before turning and grabbing the abandoned jacket on the couch and pulling it on. She left slamming her door closed behind her and clutching the advertisement in her hand with the small printed address of the nearest recruitment station.
