so, he may not be the most popular guy in the social scale, but of course everyone knows him. aaaaand with his logic and genius she would really be careful to tip-toe around him, since she's still not out of the woods with thomas, and his whole 'selling information to the enemy' scheme, it would be bad for her to let it slip. or just plain get caught. but, if they did manage to became fairly good friends in a sense, when she's found out, it would make way for some awesome drama. spock hasn't had the best run with humans in his life so far, so this really wouldn't help. except, she'd be even more torn up with guilt and whatnot, that she would sincerely try to reconcile in anyway she could. so, maybe, after a while, it could be better again, or something? i figure i'd throw in something that could potentially help to shake, and yet rebuilt his foundations anew. if that makes any sense at all. 'cause i could totally see dinah just enjoying his company, and y'know, being slightly envious of his all-around genius. c: it gives her lady-wood, maaaaan.

i can definitely see how that would shake him up. it takes a while for anyone to earn his complete trust, so if they managed to get that far only for it to be ruined, it would be pretty difficult for him. i could see them potentially becoming close as friends, well as friendly as spock can really get, and then when she's found out, it sort of pushes him further away. it would take a lot for her to regain that trust they once had, and even then it would probably never be the same, but i'm sure it would be interesting to play out.

spock doesn't bite people's heads off in general. he's all about the calm. he may coolly correct her when she's done something wrong, but he would never get angry. he only gets upset when people say mean things about his mommy.
but i can see why someone might be scared or intimidated by him. he'd try his best to convey that those are not his intentions, but he can't make her be unafraid of him.

That would be awesome! I'm not quite sure how they'd meet either and get things rolling, but I'm sure some random meeting aboard the ship somewhere would probably work fine. They are on shoreleave so it could be somewhere not on the ship too. I'm not really helping here am i? lol.

he would be eternally patient and civil with her, so hopefully she'd eventually come around to him. he'll always have a cool and detached exterior, but he never wishes to intimidate or make other people feel like less than what they are, so he'll try to help her become more confident in her abilities. It would be better for the mission anyway if she had more confidence in herself.
