PERSONALITY:
Chris is known for being technical and speaking her mind, even when she probably shouldn't. She was a bio-engineer and gave that up for star-fleet, which she didn't see as a bad thing at all. She's very verbose and persuasive with a great bedside manner-- to compensate for Bones' lack of. She's incredibly talented as a nurse and is very determined to become a doctor at this rate.

She's a very lively fun person a lot of the time and can be found with a drink in her hand, laughing it up when she needs too. She has a great sense of humor, the kind that can drift from dark to cheerful at no provocation what so ever. She is a bit of a feminist in her own right, feeling that women can do just about anything a man can do. And no, she doesn't have a thing for Spock. She respects him and has often teased Uhura for their fling, gently and as soon as it stops hurting at least.

In her private life, Chris doesn't let on about her family or her ex fiance very often. Mostly because none are as important as the family she has created for herself on the Enterprise. When asked she makes a joke or light of the situation but doesn't really say as much about it as she probably should.

HISTORY:
Born in Venice Beach, Chris was the daughter of a well to do family and the only daughter at that. She grew up with the best education, the best tutors and just about the best of everything as that goes. But she wasn't exactly happy about how her father ran things or treated her and her brother like cattle more than children. Being the oldest she felt more than a little responsible for her younger brother.

As she grew older she studied bio research and got into that career after graduating from high school. Though her parents decdied that she was going to marry a Doctor Korby. A match of which she vehemently argued against as she didn't actually like that man at all. She was almost happy when he came up missing on a star fleet mission. Not so happy when her parents demanded she quit her job in Bio-Research to join Star Fleet.

Once in the academy she actually found her calling in Medicine and began working on her credentials. With her back ground in Bio Research it wasn't that big of a stretch into organic medicine and she found that she enjoyed it more than she had her old job.

After awhile she was assigned to the Enterprise as McCoy's head nurse and really? She could not have been happier, even though her parents want her to find her fiance-- she could care less. For her it is exploring new places and the adventure of it all. Also getting away from the old life she never wanted.
