APPEARANCE:
Kyra is of an average height, and is fairly slim. She has long dark hair, and brown eyes, and is often seen with a pair of large magnifying glasses on. She is really into her personal fashion, and only wears very well-to-do things. Skirts, slacks on occasion, and fine blouses. She would not be caught dead in jeans, or anything less than what she considers fancy. At the same time, she isn't a complainer, she wears the Starfleet uniforms without complaint. She just likes to look nice, and feel nice, which usually only happens in her preppy clothing.

PERSONALITY:
Kyra is socially awkward. Interjecting her thoughts and views on a matter very freely, as she rarely keeps anything to herself. She talks to herself constantly, as well as inanimate objects. She's a bit flakey and flighty, and way too trusting, but she's not stupid.

You may fool her once, but once you do she will never trust you again. She's the kind of girl almost always wearing a smile, unless terrified for her life, and is friendly to most people. She will mouth off if provoked, but usually she only has good things to say, although she tends to lack confidence if she feels threatened, or that a conflict might ensue.

She really hates her job, despite being good at it, she longs to see the universes, and to write. So she joined Starfleet hoping that she could have it both ways.

When it comes to men, she tends to not catch on at all if one likes her, being very oblivious to others outside her own little world, but when she gets a crush she turns into a total school girl, dropping things and making a fool of herself around him.

HISTORY:
Kyra was born in Wales, but was soon shipped off to London where her young parents were attending a branch of the Starfleet Academy. She lived there until her eight birthday when both parents were sent on a mission, and left her behind with her aunt and uncle who soon took her with them to Amsterdam.

Six months later word came that her parent's ship had been attacked, and both had been casualties. Unable to tell young Kyra, her aunt and uncle simply told the girl that her parent's ship had been lost, and that it was being searched for.

For the next ten years, Kyra believed this story. Watching the skies for any sign of her parent's return. When none came, she grew impatient and decided that she too would enlist in Starfleet. However she was young and naive, and soon found out the truth from the hall of records. It was too late to drop out, and she couldn't bring herself to face her aunt and uncle now that she knew.

Instead she devoted herself to the study of technologies, and engineering, determined that she would make something of her life, casting aside her dreams of writing. Five years passed, and she graduated from the academy and was assigned to the Enterprise.

She has long since moved on from the pain of the truth about her parents, but still some part of her still believes they are out there, and if she looks hard enough she will find them out in the deep reaches of space.
