LIEUTENANT EMBRY AUSTIN

He's an engineer (but a bad one) an aspiring ladies' man (but an even worse one), and the the only things he's really good at are math and art. The rest of his life is just as contradictory as that, but I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, Embry recently blew up the bridge, and might be facing disciplinary action after he recovers from his broken ribs and punctured lungs. That said, he's up for any sort of romance, friendships, or enemies, and threads set either before or after the explosion he so irresponsibly caused .

Before the explosion, I have a feeling that Iona and Embry should have known each other (so my bad on not thinking of that at the time). I can see them really being friends. Like the kind that just...are. After the explosion, she'll probably shrug it off and speak on his behalf. I think she just likes him that way, even though he nearly killed her, himself, Uhura and some other NPCs that no one cares about.

Beth, I imagine, will be quite drawn to this little troublemaker. She's likely to view him as a person she can 'teach' about the world, or at least be a friend he can come to. What I'm predicting, though, is that while she's 'teaching' him how to be a ladies' man, she might fall for him? Her four year crush on a certain other man is pretty much coming to an end, so she's looking around to see what she's missed, and I'm pretty sure Accident Austin would catch her eye...and perhaps she can catch his as their friendship grows.

Iona: Oh, I love that. She can be the only person not cussing him out when he regains consciousness in sickbay. That sounds like an awesome thread Or she can speak up for him if he's about to get demoted or whatever, lol.

Beth: This sounds adorable - Embry's been hopeless with women since he was a teenager, so I think the idea of him enlisting some help would be awesome. He'd probably appreciate any help that she could give him, and that sounds like an awesome , twisted plot, what with him not knowing how she feels and all....

Alright so not everyone can love Jimmy boy xD and I am very amused by this whole Embry/Kirk rivalry (even if Kirk might be a bit unaware at first,) he needs a good few enemies, or just people who wouldn't mind seeing him fall off a cliff -ifyouknowhatimean- I really would love a thread with these two sometime soon. Kirk will have to have words about the defacing of his baby's bridge....

I can't wait to get Embry in some trouble. That sounds completely awesome. I'd be up for it just as soon as I get done with Embry making an idiot of himself around Iona. XD Or before. What's one more thread added to seven?

I was thinking, Mimi could be Embry's doctor after the accident. During his treatments they get to know each other well enough. He reminds Mimi of Kirk back at the Academy and Embry develops a little crush on her? Or vice versa. There you go, that's what I got .

LOL, in all seriousness, if the IC chat is any indication Dawn'll get along pretty well with Embry. She mothered and mollycoddled her kid brother for a good few years of her life, so she'd probably treat Embry the same way, plus give him a bit of a ribbing about Iona and all that innuendo.

Mimi: *grin* All right, so, Jasmine and I have done some discussion regarding Embry and Iona, and what we've decided is thus, if you're up for it. Embry sort of decides that he likes Iona, but being Embry, he's really awkward and doesn't know what to do. So eventually he starts to come out of his shell a little bit, but then the explosion happens, and he ends up with some short term memory loss...and forgets that he and Iona have a thing. So at that point, in sick bay, the thing with Mimi could happen (either way, she could be crushing on him, or he could be on her), but either way they kind of develop a "thing" and Iona has to decide whether she wants to try to remind him about what they had, and if so, how she can even do that...So maybe a conflict of interests kind of thing? *makes up dramatic and angsty plot twists*

Dawnie: I think Embry and Dawn will get along just great, like you said. I could see her being all sweet and whatnot and bringing him things to eat when he's recovering from the explosion, or just coming around to tease him and Iona.

Okay so I am thinking that Kyra will have an uber-huge crush on Embry, like major love-lorn type thing. I am more than okay with it being unrequited, but she will probably be extra-crazy-weird around him. Staring at him, and stealing pictures. Adorable in her slightly-creepy way. If she ever works up the courage to tell him, or say anything, I would be interested in how it would play out, but I figure a thread would be a good idea first, just to see how they mesh ^^

That sounds amazingly hilarious and dramatic. Embry is currently in the process of a couple things...I really need to get him up a plot links thread, I've just been too lazy so far. Anyhow, I like! Especially since he's so good at being oblivious to things
