..........BEGIN TRANSMISSION
The screen switches from black to a scene of a woman sitting in a colorful and rich room. She is wearing a spring green robe that is lit by real sunlight. The bottom right of the screen reveals the origin of the message. PARIS, EARTH. The woman on the screen gives a small, polite smile. She would pass for human, if not for the unusual width of the forehead. From this angle it is hard to distinguish more than that.
"Greetings, Captain." The voice is pleasant but flat, clearly unnatural. "I am Ambassador Bird, of Cairn. I require safe passage to my planet. Due to the recent disturbances, it is advised that I travel aboard a Federation vessel to ensure my safety. I would be most honored to be a guest aboard your prestigious vessel."
She stops and tilts head head, allowing her dark brown hair to fall down her shoulders. Her wide brown eyes look at you impassively. Of course not at you, it's a recorded message, but still slightly unnerving.
"Please notify me when your shore leave is scheduled to end. I am ready for transport at any time. Thank you for your time. I enjoy hearing form you."
A slender hand reaches out and presses a button.........

..........BEGIN TRANSMISSION
The screen switches from black to a scene of a young, and attractive man dressed in his yellow Starfleet uniform. His rank indicates captain. He sits in a large chair in the center of a dark room. A bed can be seen in the far corner, and a desk to the side of him.
"Greetings, Ambassador Bird. I would like to personally welcome you aboard my ship for your transit. We would be very honored to have you aboard, and can assure you the utmost convenience. "
Pausing, the man smiles with a light twinkle in his eye. He looks down and taps something out a data pad, and then returns his gaze to the screen.
"Repairs are nearly complete, and I am hoping we will be able to undock in the next week. However you are more than welcome to come aboard before and make sure that everything is to your liking. I hope we meet soon, Ambassador."
He presses a button on the arm of his chair, and the screen blacks out.
