ENSIGN PAVEL CHEKOVGENIUS • CURIOUS• ENERGETIC • ENTHUSIASTIC • SHY
Chekov is the young ensign in charge of the Enterprise's navigation. A friend or three would probably be good for him, as up until now he's been buried in advanced education and he's been lacking in the friendship department. Of course, his social skills aren't quite up to par, but he'd probably be a good friend if he treats his relationships with the same energy and enthusiasm as he does his work. Even though he has trouble connecting with people a lot of the time, he still manages to maintain a typically cheery demeanor in regards to... just about everything. It's doubtful if any girls would take much interest in him, as he is jailbait still, but he'd probably eagerly pursue romantic interests with all the awkwardness of a socially inept teenager unable to gather up the courage to admit that he likes said girl. So he's like every nerdy teenage boy ever, really. Only he gets a real spaceship in the deal.

Ok well we both know that McCoy and Chekov work together. Or at least, around each other. Bones is often on the bridge of the Enterprise, where Chekov works. McCoy has some doubts about Chekov's age, but he realizes that he is very smart. Perhaps a little jealous that he didn't get to be in Starfleet that early in life and people are all oggling that Chekov is so smart of his age and thinking McCoy just has experience because he is older. So Chekov is the one with more praise. McCoy might quip about his age quite a bit, but other than that, it's mostly work related.
But...they can start talking to each other and perhaps they could be at least semi-decent colleges to each other rather than ignoring each other most of the time.

Quiet and shy Sarabeth has crushed on Chekov for four years, and been unable to do anything about it despite the repeated attempts of her friends to get her to admit it. Chances are, now that they're thrown together on the ship, they'll probably run into each other more than once. I'm eager to get them to meet on a friendship level - and once they are established as good friends, who knows what could happen next? ;-) Just don't take offense if she doesn't talk to him a whole lot when they meet. She gets really nervous around guys she likes.

O HAY I SHOULD REPLY TO THESE.
McCoy- Hm. I can see the quipping, but my nonfunctional brain can't much see them doing more than work-related chatter for the time being. Chekov will probably be a bit wary of McCoy, as he will most likely have mistakenly assumed that McCoy doesn't like him. Therefore, Chekov tries to keep a low profile around the crabby doctor. At least... for now. He may open up a bit/be less avoidant down the road, but I dunno. I'd have to bounce the pair off one another to find out.
Sarabeth- In romancin', I am evil and tend to make people work for it. Mwa ha haaaa! So I won't say no, but just... yeah. Don't be surprised if Chekov is painfully slow in returning such feelings. He's kinda clueless like that. But I can certainly see them starting off as friends and going from there!

Miles and Chekov, I'm hoping, will not like each other. This is primarily due to the fact that they are both Navigators - but Chekov is just better, and Miles can't stand that. I'm hoping for a nasty little rivalry between the two possibly including some fistfights or weaponry fights. I doubt either of them would put the ship in danger, but I can see them snarking off at each other on the bridge. Plus, Miles is a dirty fighter, so he'll also go after Chekov's friends and romantic interests in an attempt to one-up the cute little Russian. Either way it's rough roads ahead for them.
At least....that's my prediction. What do you think?

Well Jamie is rarely found on the bride because she's only the assistant chief engineer but she will probably be found there every once in a while. I think they'd be really close friends, because she's almost as enthusiastic as Chekov is and because she's wanting a good friend that can be fun to be around.
I can't really think of much else but that's probably basic, they'd probably be really good friends!
