bahaha kiro, reminds me of cairo egypt! XD there's a three year gap between the two but that doesn't really have to be a factor in this plottage, so yeah ;P i'm sure anything in sciences would go with surgery hand-in-hand, and so far kirsten's is neuroscience but she's also looking towards other kinds of biological sciences. in the beginning they can have mutual respect, but as their work together they begin getting out of the doctor-lieutenant zone and begin flirting? it can start at a bar or whatever and then she says that she thinks he's really attractive? i'm sure we can make up something interesting *smiles*

haha, me too, actually! i had to stare at it for a moment xD. age is not a problem, i agree, and so does jet. i can definitely see that happening. he socializes with everyone, but he tends to flock to other scientists. he'd respect her for sure, though when things get comfortable i don't doubt that this irish boy will step right into the flirting zone. aww, he'd be all, "really?" and get all dimple-cheeked. he'd be attracted to her, she's cute (:

Aww, Verity would think he was rather wonderful in almost every way! He’s intelligent and into science, not overbearing, enjoys reading, dedicated to his work, just a couple years older than her, gentlemanly and, yeah, he’s as handsome as all get out on top of it all. And the shy moments of his just make it all the better. XD Ver's an ethnobotanist and enjoys science as a whole, so perhaps they shared a class or two at the Academy together, became study buddies and then became good friends over time? Verity would probably have a crush on him but be far too afraid to tell him, so dunno what you’d want to do with that, but yeah, just had to put something in here. XD

aww, well, verity is quite wonderful herself! i can definitely see them having taken classes together at some point back at the academy and then that neat little transition into good friends. if she were crushing on him, it's quite possible that jethro would be pretty oblivious. even if they have known each other for a while, he doesn't pick up on these things easily. but he might just have a crush on her too, they seem pretty similar and she's in to science... what more can a surgeon want? by the way, i'm glad you did post in here (:

That would be pretty darn cute, possible double-sided crush with obliviousness thrown into the mix! Yeah, Verity would probably convince herself that there was no way that Jet could like her as more than a friend; she's sort of hard on herself almost all of the time. But who knows, maybe one day they'd move beyond crushing through some event, lol.

If you'd like to thread the two of them, I'm up for it, and I can start a thread.

i think that would be ten kinds of cute. obliviousness is always fun to play out. jet wouldn't even think twice about it, much less the possibility that she might like him too. he's a bit of a workaholic, though at some point i can see him trying to pick up any sort of indication or hints, yes, lol.
