in denial : unparalleled : curious : intuitive : peculiar : scholarly However discerning she may be, however cold her features may stare, however quick her tongue is, there is something more to this Vulcan that only those willing to accept her may ever come to realize. Blessed, and cursed, with the unmatched understanding of logic and unemotional face that her people have become, only those looking for a challenge really ever take notice in her past a glance. She welcomes any conversation, none the less, with open arms. Any sort of verbal contact between she and another may seem out of the ordinary, but she takes it on with nothing but smiles. Not smiles in the literal sense, but I’m sure you get what I mean. Looking farther into her path to understand the universe and its inhabitants, T’Lae is full of questions. Whether that be how exactly to go about eating a chicken leg, though she never would, to the workings of a ship, she has an insatiable need to know anything and everything.
It would seem that friends, and even acquaintances, are few and far between due to present circumstances. Not only were her teachers and family destroyed along with Vulcan, but a good chunk of her understanding of the workings of the mind. The distress caused with this was maddening, but she was able to vent it into the wish to learn why anyone could be egged on until they were forced to destroy everything, just to see the pain in another’s eyes. None the less, she keeps a weathered eye on the prospects of friendship in the smallest forms. Love is a different issue, as she takes little interest in its workings. Of course, she finds select males attractive, but she is otherwise caught up in other things. But who knows? Perhaps that certain someone is out there, still. She is open and willing to speak to any who wish, nevertheless.
[ Anywho! Me being the indecisive sort of writer that I am, I thought I’d tell you all neat-like down here. T’Lae is looking for people to talk to, to ‘hang’ with, to generally be.. nice to? She’ll look down her nose at you until you say hello; the way she speaks will convey her kindness. It makes things tricky, but fun! Any and all sorts of roleplay are open to me, so be creative. ] [/size] [/blockquote]

Well, cbox discussion aside, I think Ros and T'Lae should have a decent friendship. I mean, maybe she's a bit curious about why he's so emotional and feel's "wrong" aura-like compared to other full-blooded Vulcans. Maybe he gets a bit annoyed and creeped out by her because of that, but likes having a Vulcan around that isn't quite a "glaring" as Spock.
I dunno- what do you think?

"Stuart? .. You mean the one who awarded me the title of 'that creepy Vulcan chick' the other day? "Oh of course. Many points to him for creativity on the matter."
I agree, for the most part. However, she wouldn't exactly be 'friendly' with him simply because of this aura she's detected. She may be cautious at first, but mostly curious as to his accent, style, and all around feel. However, I can see them making jokes about the 'Ever Logical Commander Spock' and whatnot. She'll certainly treat him well enough, and who knows. Perhaps they'll be buddies one day? Very, very odd buddies.. Tehee. The madness will ensue!

Spock interests Sarabeth, because he is so cold and unemotional despite his great losses. However, I can see T'Lae being of incredible interest to Sarabeth because of her complete difference. She speaks a little like Jane Austen, which Sarabeth knows. She has emotion, however she strives to master it, which Sarabeth would notice. Her very being would fascinate Sarabeth, quite frankly, to say nothing of the fact that she is now a member of an endangered species.
That being said, in the 'hot or not' thread you suggested a fascination with Sarabeth's eyes. I'm curious now - do you see them as creatures merely checking each other out for exploration, (a mutual fascination), or is there a possible friendship brewing in there?

“I have yet to hear of her.. Morini, was it? No, I’m afraid to say her name has yet to reach me.”
Kudos for knowing where I got the fragment of the poem in my signature. :]
I’m happy someone sees the difference in how her emotion is displayed from other Vulcan. Not only this, but for a human to take interest in it is a good sign as well, for T’Lae strives to be able to bond with races outside of her own. Given this, just as she would fascinate Sarabeth, Sarabeth would fascinate her. She would take steps to speak to this young woman as to farther understand her, and perhaps be understood herself. I agree with everything you’ve said.
T’Lae looks to eyes for emotion. At times, this is all she can do to figure out what a person is feeling at any given time. The workings of the mind coexist with the slight differences in the way eyebrows lift, lips slacken, eyes brighten, and so she watches the face as a whole. But, as is a generally accepted fact in her society, the face is to hint nothing towards feeling. Eyes are the only thing that cannot be fully controlled. The curiosity T’Lae showed towards her eyes is because her exterior was softer than what she conveyed through her eyes, in her opinion, and thus she gave her idea on it. She may receive her as a friend in time, but for now she looks to her in hopes of further knowledge. Whether Sarabeth’s motives are the same is up to you~
