Jamie yawned loudly as she lied on her bed in her room. Her clock beeping furiously on her bed stand. Growling under breath she felt herself tell the clock to quit beeping but it kept going like it knew she wasn’t totally up yet. Angrily she sat up, once again telling the alarm to shut the hell off and this time it did turn off, but not before a real high pitched sound filled her room for a second. “Stupid computer…,” She muttered under her breath as she stretched her arms and yawned again. Opening her eyes she literally jumped out of her bed as the lights in her room started blinking angrily.
Crap, crap, crap. “Okay I’m sorry!” She said to the air around her in an apologetic tone. Yes if anyone had looked in her room they probably would have thought she had lost her mind. However, she wasn’t insane. She had been the stupid one who put the artificial intelligence in her room. Yes, since she was the Assistant Chief Engineer she had been the one to try and put the artificial intelligence in her room just because she wanted to see how it took. So far the stupid computer hated her guts just because she didn’t like it beeping like a crazy thing.
No wonder why they don’t put it all over the ship. She thought silently as she thought of going to Montgomery and asking if he knew how to make it more or less angry. Glancing around she stood up and walked to her desk. Bringing up her computer screen she disengaged the Artificial intelligence and sighed. Yes it was off but when she turned it back on it still wouldn’t like her much. Moving from her desk she looked down at herself and then glanced back up moving to her closet. Opening she smiled, and grabbed a tight fitting blue tank top and then a pair of jeans. Being on leave and not needing to go down the Engineering deck to fix something she really didn’t care what she had on.
Heading to the door she glanced in a mirror and quickly brushed the knots out of her hair. Letting it stay in it's natural lose curly-ness, she wanted to put it up but for right then she left it. Once again letting it hang around her shoulders, she watched as her door opened. Walking out she glanced down the halls, sometimes it was so unnerving having the halls so quiet even when she knew most of the crew where on Earth playing around while they can. Shrugging to herself she walked down the hall, glancing ever so often over her shoulder and around corners just to keep herself busy.
Finally getting to the turbolift she took it to the second deck and quickly got off. She was one of those people who really wasn't to big on using the turbo lifts but she did so anyway. Glancing around she noticed that the Recreation deck wasn't to full, quickly she slipped past the few people that lingered in the room and headed to the Holographic Rec Room.
Slipping inside she went to the computer and typed in the location of her home before closing her eyes and then reopening them. Glancing around she knew that she was on the USS Enterprise but the image in front of her made her want to believe that she was back home. She was standing just outside her families yard, the two story old time brick house stood in the center of tall yellow colored grasses. This was her home since she was born, close to the border between Oklahoma and Texas, but she was Texas side. Sighing she glanced around again before just leaning against what she knew was the wall, but it appeared as the big tree. Jamie let her gaze wander around the meadow, wondering if she should change the picture.

Sky was giggling furiously. She had had the most amazing evening with the captain last night. She hadn't known who he was at first, and had said some things she wasn't too proud of about Spock, but all in all, it was a great way to end the day. She was in her room now. As her eyes roamed the scene, she realized just how much it looked like a prison cell. A simply furnished room with little more than a bed, computer chair, two doors, and that was about it.
It looked quite messy, since there was a huge fluffy, furry, pink comforter on the floor as well as a random 'T' shaped bar sticking out of the deck and a glass case mounted on the wall above her bed with a locking lid. On the blanket on the floor was a huge grey mound of fur. A head appeared from the mound and it slowly uncurled at the sound of Sky's laughter. Suddenly, there was not a mound of fur, but a full grown and quite hungry timber wolf. "Mornin' Hera." Sky smiled and walked to one of the two doors in her room.
It opened as she walked through, turned, grabbed something and came back out. She was now holding two strips of fresh meat, one slightly bigger than the other. The great bird on the t-post flapped his wings a few times, indicating that he would be first. Sky grinned. "Easy, Chronos...Hera will eat you if you're not careful." The falcon quieted almost immediately as the wolf growled. Sky tossed the larger of the two strips to the canine and handed the other to Chronos.
Turning, she put a knee on her bed and hoisted herself up so that she could reach the lid of the case on the wall. Inside, there was a beautiful scarlet kingsnake. "Sorry, Hypnos, but you don't get fed today," she grunted as she reached in to pick the snake up. It effortlessly slithered up her arm to his place around her neck. When he had first done that, when Sky was younger, it scared the living shit out of her, but she was used to it at this point, so she didn't mine...much.
One look at Hera and the wolf obediently laid down and closed her eyes. Sky glanced at Chronos and found him still tearing away at his strip of meat. She shuddered, that could be her...or Hypnos. There was a problem with that when she first brought the reptile home. Chronos had thought he was food. It had taken Sky almost a year to make it so that falcon and snake could get along. It didn't help that they were both male and had the brain of a pigeon...
She sighed and walked out the door with a snake around her neck. She already knew where she was headed: the holo-room as she called it. The name on the door said Holographic Recreational Room. Sky rolled her eyes. There weren't many people in the main area of the rec room itself and she hoped there wouldn't be anyone in the holo-room. She opened the door and stepped into a beautiful north Texas landscape. She took in a deep breath of the fresh -- though computerized -- air. She reached up and scratched Hypnos's chin, right where he liked it and spoke, "Ah...the glory of photons."
Without really thinking about it, she walked through Texas. It was beautiful here and reminded her deeply of home. She blinked back a tear. Fucking cops. Suddenly, a sound that wasn't made by the computer came to her ears. She turned and what she saw made her mouth drop open. No way. She glanced up. "Computer. Stop holographic projection." Instantaneously, the entire scene disappeared, leaving behind a grey walled circular room with nothing in it but Sky, Hypnos, a computer, and what Sky had seen. She was absolutely amazed. Her mouth was still hanging open when she coughed and looked away. Did I really see that? She blinked and looked back at the spot. Still there. What was she looking at?
Herself. There, before her, a perfect replication of Sky Timber. They looked exactly the same in nearly every way. She stood completely still. Even the usually placid snake was interested in what was going on now. His head was up and he was trying to get down Sky's body to the floor. Gently, she set him down and walked up to her mirror. "I'm sorry...why the fuck do you look like me!?"

Taking in a deep breath, Jamie closed her eyes letting her senses rang around the room. She knew it was just photons but still it didn't matter. In one state of mind she was home, just leaning against a tree. Though reality told her again that it was a wall, and she was on a ship docked far from home. Sighing she kept her eyes close, for once in a while she actually wanted to go see her parents. Yes they where under short leave, but her position had it to where she needed to stay and help with any problems that happened to the warp repairs. I can send a message. Jamie thought for a second before opening her eyes and glancing around the room.
Ah...the glory of photons. Quickly turning her gaze to the sound she barely kept herself from gasping. There a few feet from her stood an identical copy of herself, another Jamie Waters. What the...OH! Jamie's mind clicked, how long had it been since she'd reread the letters she'd gotten on her sixteenth birthday, thinking that she would never find her two sisters. Well I guess I got lucky today... She thought silently as she kept her gaze locked on the girl.
Then...she turned and Jamie watched as the other girls jaw dropped. Yeah other than the snake and the cloths they where identical, no buts about it because they where alike. Computer. Stop holographic projection." Jamie started to protest but she kinda couldn't being frozen at least slightly. Pulling her gaze away from the girl she sighed, the scene of her home was gone already. Leaving her in the grey wall platted room with one of her triplet sisters.
She watched as the girls gapping mouth still stared at Jamie, she coughed and looked away. Yeah like that will help, Jamie thought, barely keeping herself from laughing. How would she feel if she didn't know she had two other identical sisters and suddenly saw someone that looked exactly like them? It would suck horribly, that's what it would be like plus a few random curse words here and there. It was hilarious that who ever it was wasn't cussing her out for copying her image.
Letting that thought go through Jamie's mind she shrugged mentally and kept still her gaze still on the girl. If she remembered the names right it was Sky or Arizona that was standing before her. Jamie had been told that there would be some little differences between them, but the only one Jamie could see was that her hair wasn't as red as the other girl. Jamie's is more light brown than red, even thought it had been red when she was little. Once again she shrugged and watched as Sky or 'Zona sat down the snake and walked towards her. All Jamie knew was their first names and that Sky was the only one of the three to end up with their real family.
I'm sorry...why the fuck do you look like me!? All the thoughts and reserves that had kept Jamie frozen for the past few minutes suddenly broke. Quickly moving her hand to her month she stifled the laughter. Yes it was kinda funny to hear someone say that but then...It was rude to laugh. Looking away slightly she turned her gaze back to the girl and smiled. Sorry about laughing, but that was funny I haven't gotten that before even though I've been looking for my triplet sisters! She said happily as she smiled, yes she could be all happy go lucky but she was nervous and that was completely evident but that just made her more hyper. Uh, I look like you cause...well I'm your sister. One of the triplets that is, I have two sisters. Sky...something, and Arizona something. By just looking at you I'm kinda taking a big leap of faith and saying hey I think you’re my sis. She said sounding more like her self. Less girlly and more dang I feel like a fool but I think I'm right.
You may think I'm slightly insane but being an engineer and well looking at you kinda proves we look like we are looking in a mirror. She said a matter of fact kind of way like she was trying to make herself feel more better about what she was saying.
Shaking her head Jamie smiled and stuck out her hand. Now that all the weirdness is over. I'm Lt. Jamie Marie Waters, Assistant Chief Engineer. It's nice to meet you even though how...slighlty creepy it is. Hey it could be worse though. What's your name? She said finally being herself ready to shrug off any weirdness and just let life live and try to get through it the right way.

Sky's jaw barely shut during the girl's whole explaination. She dumbly shook her head back and forth. Her pride was saying no, but her mind was saying 'duh'. She had really strange dreams every now and then where it was her, but it wasn't her. People she'd never met would call her different names, but yet, it was Sky. Or was it? The tactical chief stared at her triplet in complete disbelief. She was still talking, trying to explain what was going on.
"No! You can't. I can't. Mom...but. Dad?" Sky was more stuttering than she was talking. She took a deep breath. "I'm the youngest of 7 children. I have 6 older brothers. My mother died during childbirth. I have no sisters!" But, as Sky kept looking at her, she knew the words were true. Holy shit...a twin. No, she said triplets. Now Sky was confused. That would mean that there were three...Sky had not only one, but two sisters.
"So there's three of me." She stopped and her face screwed up in thought. "Or three of you...or three of...us." Sky stood there, completely dumbfounded. "I don't know whether to lock you in the brig for a little while until I figure out if you're a clone or not...or just take your word for it." She huffed. "Computer. The mountain campsite." The scene changed. They were now on the side of a mountain in Colorado looking down at a beautiful valley in the spring time. The computer could recognise Sky's voice and did the calculation since she was a regular in the room. Otherwise, she would've had to put the coordinates in the computer itself.
Taking a deep breath, she scooped up Hypnos and walked to the girl who had just introduced herself as Jamie Waters. She grasped her hand firmly and gave a strong handshake. One could tell alot about a person by the way they shook hands. "I wouldn't say the wierdness is over...but I'm Lieutenant Sky Timber, Chief Tactical Officer of the USS Enterprise." Good. That's over. Sky let go and took a step back. This was just entirely too out there for her.

Jamie watched the girl as she stuttered slightly. No! You can't. I can't. Mom...but. Dad?" Jamie sighed, she had no idea if it was the right time to tell Sky that her father...their father had left both Jamie and 'Zona at the hospital only taking Sky. Though she needed to say sometime, maybe Sky already knew though. I'm the youngest of 7 children. I have 6 older brothers. My mother died during childbirth. I have no sisters! Well this time it was Jamie's turn to have her jaw drop. A look of total disbelief crossed her face. Hold on. I...you...we have 6...6 older brothers?! Who are they? What are they like? She blurted the last part before looking away for a second and turning back. Well, your now youngest of 9 children, with 6 older brothers...and I think you’re the youngest of us three...that's what the letters said anyway. So yeah, with two older sisters. She said, taking a deep breath.
Jamie couldn't guess how hard this was for Sky to take all of this in but it was hard even for her. She'd known that she had two triplet sisters, but having brothers other than Jeremy and Alex was insane. Especially having 6 new brothers. Gulping she glanced back at Sky as the girl tried to piece it all together. After she finished Jamie cocked her head to the side and gulped. Well it's three of us....and I'd rather stay out of the brig. I kinda have to help down in the Engineering Deck a lot lately, with Montgomery. I promise though that I'm not a clone, so just take my word for it. If you want, I have the letters I got from my pare...from my adoptive parents. They got a lot of stuff from the hospital and wrote what they knew down, and gave it to me for my 16th birthday. It explains a lot, if you will. she said, shrugging her shoulders gently as she looked around the grey room wondering if she should add in another place but her sister beat her to it.
Computer. The mountain campsite. Jamie watched as the grey walls turned into a beautiful camp ground area. Jamie gasped, she'd seen this place, but she'd never been there before. She'd seen and heard some things while she wasn't busy. It'd always sounded like her but it wasn't, the places where places where she'd never been. People she'd never seen, Wow...we are more connected than I thought. She thought as her gaze glanced at Sky, had she ever had those dreams? Seen or heard things that weren't in her own life? Quickly Jamie put it off, yeah they probably all had those moments but Jamie's mind had already jumped ahead. If practiced could they read each others thoughts, or maybe even be able to see what the other was seeing even when they weren't together.
I hate my mind...then love it at the same time. Jamie thought as she pushed the thoughts away, that might be a one for Spock or someone else that might be able to answer her questions. I'll go ask Scotty later, maybe. She once again pushed the thoughts away. Turning to Sky as she introduced herself Jamie smiled. She'd already guessed that this was Sky and not 'Zona, she was just good at that. It's nice to...meet you again I guess. Though it's kinda weird that we never really met in the academy. We probably know a lot of the same people...it's kinda funny that we never met right?"

Sky was already starting to believe everything the girl was saying. She was ok with it, honestly. It was just one of those things. She took a deep breath, smiling becuase of Jamie's reaction to the idea of 6 new siblings. "Yes, by age it's James, Justin, Dalton, Miles, Jacob, Brad...you or `Zona, `Zona or you, me." Her grin widened. "I could spend hours talking about our brothers. They're a gang of idiots...except Miles. Miles could drop dead and all I'd feel is recoil." She hoped her sister got the idea.
She stood back. Jamie had said something about letters. Once, when Sky was little, Miles had told her that she had two sisters but Dad had gotten mad and told Sky that she was a single kid. Sky, of course, agreed with her father. Currently, she was looking around the campsite. It was beautiful. Perfect. Everything one could dream of. Right here. She took a deep breath and sighed happily. "Ok, Jamie, I'll take your word for it." She sat down on a rock and rubbed the back of her neck. It had a crick in it from the way she'd laid the night before.
She kinda grimaced at her next phrase. "I don't know...I didn't get out much at the Academy. My uhh...ankle bracelet...didn't let me leave the door to my room except during certain hours, and I damn sure wasn't allowed off campus." She shrugged. "Several times people talked about someone who looked like me but was doing things I didn't usually do. Most of said things I had dreamed about, so I decided I had like split personality disorder or soemthing." Again a smile, and she relaxed.
