Part of a story
Part of a Tale
Koko BRANWEN Emerson
Enthusiastic|| Flirty||Sarcastic||Rambunctious|| Lazy||Secretly Delicate
The Overall Scoop
Face it, Koko is the typical girl who is still trying to kick her bad habits. Perhaps she swears a bit too much and does not always keep her manners, but she won’t deny that she’s no lady. She puts up a strong front, but is extremely weak when it comes to the ghosts of her past.
Despite how it looks, she holds her superiors in high regard. They must have done something good to get where they are. So even if she is overall annoyed with her bosses and is letting it show, she still has the greatest respect for them and will so whatever is in her power to fulfill what is asked of her. But this goes for all people. If she likes or appreciates a person, she has her own simple ways of letting show. If you are one of the people she considers a friend, her teasing is always does in the most loving of ways. On the other hand, if she is displeased with you, she has no qualms about showing it.
One of the first things to keep in mind is that Koko should not always be believed. It isn’t that she is a compulsive liar, she just enjoys how far she can stretch her stories before someone catches her. In fact, the first five things that come out of her mouth during a first meeting should be disregarded. People often mistake her lies for truth, but she makes sure that when she needs to be believed, that no one mistakes the truth for a lie.
Though she puts up a strong front, she has her limits before the shaky side of her is reveals. Her greatest fear is abandonment, which is probably one of the reasons that she is physically clingy to her friends, yet prefers her emotional distance. She dislikes it when people ask too many personal questions. Cross over her comfort zone, you will know, and she will never let you do it again.

These Sweet Family Ties
Let us get one thing straight: Just because Koko does not get along with her siblings every second of the day, it does not mean that she hates her family. She loves them very much, but would rather spend her time with people who are not going to relate stories of her punching out one of the boys on the playground for flipping her skirt or talk about how she should have picked a different profession. As of now, these are the ONLY people allowed to call her affectionately by her first name (receiving commands from senior officers does not equal affection, therefore she must respond to her given name). All other crew members or guests will be kindly reminded to use her chosen name, Branwen, in the future.
Friendliness is Next to Godliness
Maybe not the most likeable of personalities, Koko still makes it a goal to be on good, or at least civil, terms with the people she keeps in contact with on the ship. This is mostly because she thinks that if there is any tension between her or her crewmates, it may cloud her judgment as a nurse if she is practicing her trade on them. But she is a loyal friend, willing to listen to even a complete stranger if it will put his or her mind at ease. Yeah, she is going to complain about her friends once in a while, and she may not give the greatest advice, but she will not leave one of her friends in need. But if she gets hurt, that person will have one hell of a time regaining her trust (depending on how close they are).
Enemies Accumulate
Koko has her fair share of enemies and puts forth no effort to have a peaceful relationship with them. Though she does not go out of her way make such enemies, she also realizes that no one is perfect, people don’t always get along, and that she is one of those people who is not loved by everyone. But she is happy with that. Of course, she gives mostly everyone a few chances before loathing them completely. Her logic in her hatred can be somewhat odd, though. For example, if some woman “stole” her boyfriend, she would not hate her. People do that all the time. But she would hate the male for his inconsideration. Generally, Koko treats her enemies with the cold civility that is expected from her unless he or she has done something to piss her off to the point that there is no chance for forgiveness.
The Offspring of Fiction and Love
Koko never really was the “crushing” type. But what do you call a feeling somewhere between a crush and an obsession? She has recently taken up the term “crash” to describe her romantic emotion, seeing that the majority of her relationships have, well, crashed and burned. Because of this she is a little nervous about trying to start anything new, but is not entirely against it. Unfortunately, she is the sort of person who really gets involved in her relationships. If she is going to love someone, she is going to give it her all, regardless of the expected outcome. This leaves her in a vulnerable position, easily usable, and easily hurt. But at least she is devoted.
A Few notes
--- Any interest in playing a family member: PM for specifics (what few there are).
--- I am a huge fan of oddball friendships and unlikely relationships.
--- I like surprises. ^^
