APPEARANCE:
Though she’ll never admit it the fact is clear Carol Marcus is a very attractive woman. She slender and muscularly toned in the right places. Her blond hair falls to a rest just past her shoulder blades curling just at the tips and her eyes are an exotic dark green. Full lush pink lips go with her soft pale skin tone and slightly raised cheek bones which still retain some fat on them but not much. Call it chubby cheeks if you will. Tease her about it and she'll make you cry. She wears glasses and often wears her hair in a pony tail rarely letting it down. She hates having to work with her hair getting in the way. The standard female officer uniform makes Carol cringe, and she refuses to wear something that shows off her assets. She prefers pants when on duty and her standard blue science officer shirt. However when wanting to drawl the attention of a certain Captain she has been known to wear the blue tight fitting female Starfleet uniform, with dark stalkings to accent her long legs. You know the one that rides really close to all female officers butts and makes their boobs stand out more. The very one that draws attention to her. In her ears she wears diamond stud earrings, with a hint of blue color in them.

PERSONALITY:
This is Carol Marcus and deep within Carol Marcus is passion and comfort and need and joy, there was a strength that knows no boundaries, a kindred soul that influences her world around her that chooses to see the best in everyone making the best of the cards dealt to her. Carol gives her soul into everything she does, and she does without want or need of receiving anything in return. Carol is selfless. She’d even give her life to save her friends, and shipmates. There is a primal basic feeling deep within her that hungers for learning, to feed that hunger, to give into that hunger by seeking out new life and new civilizations. Carol is a scientist first and foremost and their will always be a part of her that pushes her self to make new discoveries.

There is a fire within her and a radiance to astounding too put into words, too powerful to be measured, as thought she is burn brighter then any star in the night sky, a love for science and men greater then even she could explain. She pulls people to her like a gravitational void pulling everything to it. She has no problem getting along with just about everyone with her loving good girl next door personality. She’s easy to get along with and if needed she’ll listen as she is really good at letting people blow off steam at her. On the outside Carol is just warm and friendly with everyone. She just bottles her frustrations in until it blows up in her face. She for the most part stays clam under pressure, follows orders and doesn’t get into trouble unless persuaded otherwise which is a feat within it’s self to accomplish.

On rare occasion she’ll disregard orders mainly based on her gut feelings. Some would say plane Carol isn’t the type of girl to dress up and go out on dates with guys, but the type of girl who throws herself into her work, but this is the Carol that is a Doctor. Carol loves having a good time, and isn’t afraid to let her hair down when it suits her or wears makeup when she wants to look good for a guy. She can party hard when she wants to and drink like the rest when she fancy’s a drink or to. She has an obsession for science as one can figure she was the nerdy smart chick at the Academy, who liked to hang out now and again but rarely because she preferred reading or playing her flute. In no way or form is Carol the girly girl, but rather she is one stubborn hard headed cookie with a mean left hook and a right jab.

The way Carol sees is, is the way she tells it. She’s a strong judge of character and is brutally honest with everyone. She can be witty and a real smart ass often making wise ass comments. Carol doesn't ever believe she is wrong when she makes the best logical answer given all the facts. She believes in God, and as such is a strong woman of faith and science, though science in favor of discovering God. She believes in love and that if she's meant to fall in love she will. It's only a matter of time. Though Carol has always had a school girl crush of James Kirk since the Academy, she doesn't want to love someone who she knows will never settle for just one woman, let alone her over all the other. She believes that she is plain and with that comes the glasses wearing tough smart girl tomboyish behavior. She thinks guys just won't see her as that attractive. So she is shy around guys she likes and overall she feels uncomfortable about flirting, as it just doesn't work for her. She is easily jealous, over protective, over bearing, and easily angered. This is when she has been known for her temper.

Carol can seem defensive around other woman and even shy, this is because she's not as flashy as some woman or like some woman willing to throw themselves in bed with someone they just met. When guys try and flirt with her she simply shoots them down with the best she has to offer. This girl is in love with her science not in finding out how what it's like in bed with some guy she hardly knows. One time back in the Academy it happened and she reasons it was a stupid mistake on her part. Carol plays the she's just not that into card, because in her case it's true most guys just don't keep up with her for very long. She's down to Earth and old fashioned.

Want her and you might as well just admit you settled for her and only her. When it comes to men and romance she only wants one man, and can be selfish when it comes to this one lucky guy, though she'll never admit to this guys face that she likes him because he's a womanizer. She strong willed and can wait as long as it takes which could be a long time. This is the way she wants it and theirs no way to get around the fact this cutie is an one man kind of girl. She already has her eyes on the guy. Doesn't mean she won't be your friend? It just means it won't ever be much else. Deep down she doubts herself at times and her abilities because she's afraid to fail.

HISTORY:
Doctor Carol Marcus was one of the leading molecular biologists in the Federation. She devoted her life to her research. Carol Marcus grew up in Iowa in a large family of seven Brothers and herself. She grew up being picked on by her Brothers and learned to defend herself. She was born to Dallas Marcus and Jules Marcus, Jules Marcus being her Mother gave birth to her while her Father taped it. She being the youngest was also the last to join Starfleet along with her twin Brother Carl Marcus. Carol Marcus arrived at the Riverside ship yards to be taken to the Starfleet Academy with her peers. It’s when she first noticed James Kirk whom she found quite attractive. She enrolled in science, medical, earth history classes, while taking a self defense class during her studies. She befriends and became romantically evolved with a young Cadet like herself who's younger then her. The two date for only a few months before she breaks if off with him. It was a romance of pure passion and one she felt she wasn’t ready for until it was time to settle down.

One of the proudest moments of her life came when her Father surprised her for her birthday. It was almost magical. To her it was even more so. He took her on a guided tour of the Enterprise being built. Carol was an old fashioned Engineer’s daughter in Iowa who believed she one day be married and settled down with a family while her husband was worked on the farm. She knew she wouldn’t have that with the Cadet she had fallen head over heels with so she broke it off just when it seemed that it might heat up. Oh and was it heated and how she had hated breaking it off. She lost touch with the handsome Cadet for the next few years while she studied hard and soon graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology. Her Father was their to see to get her degree which made him very proud of her.

She was witness to Kirk’s hearing for cheating, having been accused by Commander Spock. When the stress call came in that Vulcan was under attack by Nero’s ship she wasn’t assigned to any vessel heading for Vulcan. She took no part in the conflict and would only later read about it. She was assigned to Starfleet’s special projects division. She would soon be promoted to head of this division pertaining to the science department aboard the station. She soon fell in love with another scientist, and the two had become close, then he asked for her hand in marriage and she had said yes. However when the science station she was stationed on came under an attack by a group of Romulan’s trying to steal Starfleet’s new special project, she was taken hostage. Her soon to be husband was murdered. Her twin Brother Carl who was also stationed aboard the station as the commanding officer was also murdered. Carol stages an escape attempt but she is brutally beaten and left for dead. Starfleet dispatched a vessel to rescue the science team. Carol is found in a EVA suit hanging on for dear life clinging to her last moments of air that she has left.

She traveled aboard the Starfleet vessel to report her findings to Starfleet command. She was reassigned to the science/medical staff of the of this vessel shortly after. While on shore leave she visited home where she learned her Father was ill with cancer and didn't have long to live as it was already to late in it's progression to cure. He died a few days later. Carol coping with his death decided not returned to the science vessel right away and threw herself into her work trying her best not to deal with her Father's death. Growing up Carol had been close to her Father, who had worked on the Enterprise as an Engineer building her from the ground up. Mainly building and testing the wrap coils, which would later be found to be the cause of his death many years later. Later she would return to active duty and be reassigned to the Enterprise.

Jean was drained to the point of being exhausted, and she didn’t know how much more she could take, see Scott was always so over protective, and when Logan bothered flirting with her Scott usually became defensive. Blasting Logan into a tree with his Optic Blasts was going a bit too far, even for her, even if Logan could take such punishment he didn’t deserve it. Scott became irrational when it came to her and Logan, she loved Scott more then something as simple as breathing. More then her own life in fact and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for Scott. She even loved him when she had every right to be cross with him, and she should be.

He was acting like a child not the mature man she fell in love with when she joined the team, and she hated it. It hurt her to see him fuming. Boys could be so immature. Her mild infatuation for Logan was nothing more then a high school crush, she knew in her heart Scott was right for her. She loved him he just made her madder then Charleston Hesston playing Moses when he acted like a fourteen year old boy getting upset at Logan for looking at her, for flirting with her. Was he jealous because she blushed when Logan made his advances toward her? Apparently he made him mad, and what example was he setting for the children attacking Logan.

Sometimes she wondered why she bothered. She was tired of arguing, of the fighting, and she needed a break. It made her feel guilty when he pasted judgment on her for talking to Logan, like she had betrayed him. Yet he chose to blast Logan as a direct Optic Blast hitting her would kill her, and she knew Scott would never do something like that. Logan did nothing and she thanked him for that, he simply walked away without fighting, she bet that was hard for him. It was the right thing to do. Jean needed air, she needed breathing room, and she needed to get away from Scott. He made her feel guilty and part of her felt like she had betrayed him and it was only because Scott had taken that hurtful tone with her on occasion.

With Logan and her it was never like that, and the small part of her that did want that was kept locked inside, her honesty would never betray Scott. Never right? Jean looked good in whatever she wore which happened to be blue jeans, and a green top that reveled a lot of her right shoulder. She was outside it now where she was alone. She smelled the air and let it fill her lungs. The thing about being a telepath she could feel when someone was coming, more then that she knew just who it was at any given time. She clenched her fist into a tight ball. Her mind enraged with thoughts of hatred opened itself to the creature within, and all around her from the air to every object was at her command. She felt stronger and she fought herself to not allow herself to dwell on her anger any further.

Tears dwelled in her tear ducts waiting for her rapture that never came. With ease she sat the bench she lifted with just a thought back in its place. The water in the fountain stopped flowing against its natural flow and returned to its normal course, and leaves fell down rather then up. The person was walking closer. She put on her best face, but she couldn’t hide the fact she seemed tired. Her makeup was smeared harshly under her eyes enough to put medusa to shame. She had been crying. Her smile, no her very presence brightened up a room when she entered. She composed herself not wishing to mentally drown the young man with her lack of mental restraint. Her shields strengthened, and she tried for her best smile. “Mr. Robert Drake to what do I owe the pleasure.” She addressed her good friend with utmost respect and out of the kindness of her heart.

“Bobby,” someone one other then Scott to talk to. She fought hard to not just run to Warren for support. Like Scott Bobby could seem to be immature. He had always made her laugh, and because he was her friend she might as well use his shoulder to cry on. “Just the person I wanted to see.”
