APPEARANCE:
Ace's holographic form is exactly like the sixth doctor on Doctor Who. His hair is always the same, a blondish afro that is messily "slapped on" to his appearance. His eyes are gray, although in certain light they look blue. He has two appearances that are programmed into his mainframe. One is the doctor's outfit, which is coat that has patches all over it, striped yellow and black pants, a white blouse, and a polka dotted tie. Ace also has an apparently knitted vest underneath his coat, but over his blouse. He wears green shoes with red socks. A programmer at Starfleet also gave him new programming that gave him a standard cadet's red uniform. Ace tries his hardest to look corporal, especially at the Academy, but when he's working his program especially hard he tends to become a bit blurry, fizz with a crackling sound, and become transparent. Also, sometimes not all of his hologram loads (as was evident when he accidentally went to class once with no head).
PERSONALITY:
Ace, when he was first created, did not really understand emotions. He knew what they looked like, but not what they meant. He's required to take psychology due to this problem, and he's actually doing better at responding to emotion. His emotion programming can sometimes become a bit stressed, resulting in wild mood swings or outbursts. There are days in which emotions become switched inside of his mind, which has not helped in getting friends. When he's working fine, though, he's a very mild-tempered hologram. He's assertive, but not aggressive would be a better statement. Aside from his mood swings, and his normal mood, if he's infected with a virus he turns darker. Ace becomes aggressive, greedy, and cruel towards others. When he's normal, he enjoys playing chess with others, and talking to other people. He's very sociable, and loves to be the life of the party. Ace is intelligent and creative with his ideas. If he wasn't a robot, and didn't like Starfleet, he often comments that he would have liked to have been an artist. Ace is humorous, though sometimes not by his own wishes. He is clueless of certain human traditions, due to being cooped up with his hermit creator. Due to studying, though, he knows some of the most obscure of alien traditions and ceremonies of other races. He's always shooting to be the top of his class so that he can join the Enterprise.
HISTORY:
In the first time line, Dr. Richeloff Vestari had given up hope on making a sentient hologram. He was considered by his friends and family to be a genius, but loon. However, he didn't care. In the original timeline, he was going to be shot and killed by a drunken starship officer aboard the USS Kelvin. However, due to the attack, the future killer was killed, and Vestari lived. He started to develop a successful AI out of his machinery. Vestari's attempts weren't based on any sort of honors that he could get from developing it. He just wanted a son without the hassle of being with a woman. Over the months after USS Kelvin's destruction by Nero, Vestari continued working- sometimes failing, sometimes given little successes in his quest. After three years, he made his first real success, the AIH-115. However, after a few bugs he short-circuited. Four more attempts were made, but it was after 5 years, he finally developed AIH-119.
Vestari programmed "Ace", as he called the program to recognize and form facial responses based on a limited number of television clips from old Earth shows. As for the actual holographic form, he admired the tacky clothing of the sixth doctor from Doctor Who. The facial structure was also similar to Vestari, so he programmed that form for Ace. The hologram couldn't touch anything, not even his creator, so Vestari programmed an override code into Ace's programming. This allowed the hologram, when his computer is plugged into a main system, to take control of small electrical devices. Paranoid of the outside world, Vestari kept his creation to himself. However, just a few years later while on his death bed, Vestari would allow his program to try and enter Starfleet. Ace got in the second time, and took a test that was electrical, not on paper with pen. He's been through some major trouble and discrimination with other cadets, mainly because they consider him a program, not a classmate. His programming causes a few problems. His override codes sometimes fail, resulting in him not being able to touch anything. Ace is also very susceptible to viruses.

NAME/ALIAS: Ace HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN RPING:2-3 years WHERE DID YOU FIND US: Proboards Support RP SAMPLE:
Ace knew that there had to be something wrong when he entered his Robotics class ten minutes early. He was used to jeering from a few of the rowdier students- the ones who thought that he didn't deserve to be here because he was a program himself. However, they were silent and staring. Looking down at his body, clothed in a red Starfleet uniform programmed into his circuits, he didn't see anything wrong. So, why were they staring? Noticing that he was in the middle of the door, he walked towards his desk. He couldn't sit in it, but he floated just a bit above the seat, his leg partway enveloped by the desk. The meaner students had begun to laugh at him, and Ace honestly didn't care. They'd probably just thought of another "joke" about his faulty programming. One of the students, though, a pretty little human with obvious southern flair, got up out of her desk and went to him. She hadn't said anything to him before, so he wondered what she was doing. With a flip, opened her cosmetic mirror and put it in front of Ace's fair...or, rather, lack of one.
"O-Oh my!" Ace garbled out moving his invisible eyesight to her head as his form fizzled and cracked from embarrassment. His head reformed, and she smiled sweetly before going back to her desk.
The other classmates jeered at the girl who'd helped him, and he gave a near-silent thank you. Ace knew she hadn't heard him. The jeering and jokes stopped once the teacher of Robotics entered. He was a human shorter than the hologram, and with a voice that could send him to sleep- if he could. The lesson started in the white lecture-style classroom, and Ace was glad that he had his head back on his shoulders. He'd to thank the girl after class. As the lesson started, Ace focused in on every bit of information that the could get. He had his eyes on the prize- a job on the USS Enterprise.
